Hamilton named to IBJ’s 2026 Women of Influence

Today, the Indianapolis Business Journal (IBJ) celebrated its 2026 class of "Women of Influence" honorees, which includes State Rep. Carey Hamilton (D-Indianapolis).

This distinction from IBJ represents leaders in business, government, nonprofits and other public-serving sectors.

Hamilton issued the following statement:

"I'd like to give huge thanks to the IBJ for including me among this inspirational group of women. At the Statehouse, I work from the belief that a thriving economy and strong families are inherently interconnected. Each one depends on the other. When we invest in strong public schools and pre-K for every child, ensure access to affordable healthcare and housing and provide amenities that make our communities great places to live, we support the workforce that businesses need to grow and the quality of life people need to thrive.

“It’s an honor to be recognized alongside leaders making a positive impact across Indiana. Our state is a better place to call home thanks to their dedication.”
